Are You Interested In Adopting?

Adoption Fees Includes:  

Spay/Neuter

Please keep in mind that depending on age, how, when ,where and why each dog is rescued, they may not be altered at the time of adoption. In those cases an appointment is made through UCC to be altered post adoption with one of our supporting Veterinarians.

Adoption Folder with adopted dogs records, resources and more.....

Don't forget about our after adoption services where your dog already feels at home!!! 

The Temperament and behavior of each dog is evaluated prior to adoption for suitable placement by 2 certified dog trainers/ behavior experts.

Low Cost Wellness Veterinary services


All adopted dogs have access to our Lower Cost Veterinary Clinic Held Weekly

 email UlsterCountyCanines@gmail.com .  After adopting you are not required to use our vet. We strongly recommend staying established with your own local veterinarians for testing, and emergencies. UCC only offers annual and basic services. If something is immediately wrong with your dog contact your vet. 


Adoption Fees

 Puppies under 6 months-AND PURE BREED ADULTS $675  

((for puppies not altered at time of adoption there is an additional 50$ refundable deposit  left at time of adoption. The deposit is returned to you when we schedule and return the dog from their spay/neuter surgery total due at adoption $725)) 

If you choose the donation of deposits they go right to covering the cost of the next dog in needs surgery

(strict one hour radius for unaltered puppies no exceptions)


Adult Dogs-6mos+ $475

((for adult dogs not altered at time of adoption there is an additional 50$ refundable deposit (optional) left at time of adoption. The deposit is returned to you when we schedule and return the dog from their spay/neuter surgery))

donation of deposits go right to covering the cost of the next dog in need surgery


 Seniors +6  -$350

Senior dogs are the best types of dogs to adopt they have established personalities already know how to act and what to expect. Laid back sweet couch potatoes!!!! 



What the adoption fee provides each dog. Understanding costs of rescue

What it costs UCC to provide YOU a fully vetted happy healthy dog. Why our adoption fees are what they are.

Vaccinations 75$-100$ 

Health certification per dog for transport $35

Transport from at risk or high kill shelter $160 

Spay/Neuters' $350-$600 depending on weight and age 

Adoption Materials (leash, collar, food ) $65

(Its costs U.C.C a min of $400-$600 to prepare EACH DOG for adoption depending on each dogs needs)

For dogs we treat for heart worm it is an additional $400 on top of the basic vetting costs. 

Every penny donated goes to the dogs care before adoption and after so we can help owners  keep them happy and healthy.



We  adopt within a 1 hour radius of our facility

Unaltered puppies strictly within one hour. No Exceptions on puppies.

We will adopt adult and senior fully vaccinated and altered dogs up two hour radius
