What we offer:

We offer everything a regular clinic would except x-rays, surgery, and hospitalization. For those matters we would refer to another hospital.

We can do exams, vaccines, nail trims, baths, ear cleaning, anal glands, bloodwork, urinalysis, prescribe medications, dispense heartworm, and flea and tick prevention, cytologies, aspirates, and more!

How to schedule an appointment:

Please send an email to UlsterCountyCanines@gmail.com

We will schedule you a time that the doctor is available. Our doctor is available One day a week!!! Please email to find out about clinic avaibility.

How do I get established and why should I be established with a vet?

Step one is getting to know your Vet and your Vet getting to know you and your canine. Getting established with any vet means that your pet has been examined by a veterinarian on staff.  We require a initial examination, this gives our Vet a baseline of health from your dog.  Being established with a vet means your pet has a patient-doctor relationship.  This is ideal in the event that your pet needs to get an appointment asap or has ongoing health issues.

Who is your veterinarian and what animals does she treat?

Our wonderful veterinarian is Dr. Paula Turner. She is a graduate from Tufts university and sees cats and dogs here at UCC!  Her goal is to provide the community pets and shelter animals access to quality care that is affordable.

Where do the funds go since you are a non-profit organization?

Our prices reflect the lowest possible to pay the staff that run the clinic (doctor and tech) and for the cost to supply medications. We do not make a profit from the clinic. Any extra money from the clinic goes back into the clinic or into medicine for our shelter dogs (monthly heartworm, antibiotics, arthritis meds, etc.)
